Call for Volunteers

WordCamp KL 2019 needs you!

All WordCamps need volunteers to run the show alongside event organisers. Everything from the swag station to ticket sales and microphones is set up and managed by volunteers.

Why volunteer?

The quality of a WordCamp depends entirely on the people who give their time to make it happen. Being a volunteer is more than lending a hand, it is the secret sauce that makes a WordCamp a WordCamp!

Here’s what’s in for you:

  • It is the perfect opportunity to get involved with WordPress. Volunteering makes you an integral part of the WordPress global project.
  • You will meet fellow volunteers, attendees, speakers and sponsors. Not only is this a great opportunity for starting or strengthening friendships, but also for networking and developing professional relationships.
  • You will get a WordCamp KL 2019 organizer’s t-shirt
  • You will get a FREE ticket to WordCamp KL 2019!

  • Registration (1 volunteer needed)

Round 3 Speakers for WordCamp KL 2019

In Round 1 and Round 2, we have announced some great speakers. Here are Round 3 speakers that you don’t want to miss in WordCamp KL 2019. Get your tickets now.

  • Ivan Yordanov Ivanov

    Ivan is providing infrastructure and application support to the SiteGround enterprise clients. He has helped with the launch and has been involved in the maintenance of many complex multi-server infrastructures for big WordPress projects. Outside of the office, Ivan is a big sports fan, especially enjoying watching and playing football.

  • Cesar Tardaguila

    Cesar is a Spanish software developer currently living in Hong Kong, and a member of the Automattic mobile team where he works on the WordPress and WooCommerce for iOS apps. He previously worked in online video delivery at Accedo and Ooyala.

  • Abdul Rahim Abdul Rani

    I am a freelance web designer and developer. Happily creating websites for customers and giving them an outlook for digital business presence.

Round 2 Speaker Announcement for WordCamp Kuala Lumpur 2019

Last week we had officially begun to introduce our 1st batch of speakers for WordCamp KL 2019! This week we are introducing another 3 amazing speakers that are going to join us on that day.

  • Adlan Khalidi

    Adlan Khalidi started his first WordPress blog in 2008. He fall in love with WordPress and has been doing freelance website design. He founded his digital marketing agency Dezeek Media in 2013 focusing on establishing online presence of his clients.

    In 2019, he has been awarded with Google Partner badge as a proof of his commitment & dedication to serve the best service for his client.

Round 1 Speaker Announcement for WordCamp Kuala Lumpur 2019

The lineup of speakers for the WordCamp KL 2019 event, happening November 2nd, 2019, is pretty spectacular and today we’re starting the official announcements (done in no particular order).

  • Cherry Sireetorn Prommawin

    Cherry Sireetorn Prommawin, Search Quality Analyst, Google Asia Pacific
    Cherry Prommawin is a Search Quality Analyst at Google Asia Pacific, ensuring good quality of organic search results, and specializing in web spam and webmaster relations for South East Asian countries. Prior to this, Cherry was a Senior Online Specialist and a Subject matter expert focusing on non-search products such as Google Analytics, Google My Business, Merchant Center and Google AdWords. Though Cherry is originally from Thailand, she has been in living in Singapore for close to 10 years.

If you require a visa to travel to Kuala Lumpur for WordCamp this November, we can provide an official letter from WordPress Community Support to assist you in your visa application. Simply fill out the form below and we will send you the letter as soon as we can.

Please use the same Name and Email address that you used when purchasing your WordCamp KL 2019 ticket.
